Create your first prompt
A prompt is the question you put to your audience. The best prompts are specific, a little provocative, and easy to answer in under a minute.
Write the question
From your dashboard, choose New Prompt and type your question. Keep it conversational — "What is the worst dating advice you have ever followed?" pulls far better than "Share your thoughts on dating."
- Be specific — a narrow question gets a confident answer.
- Invite a story, not an opinion — stories make great audio.
- Set expectations on length if it matters ("in 30 seconds…").
Publish and find your link
Publishing makes the prompt live at your public page (voxpop.app/@yourhandle). Every prompt gets its own shareable URL and an embeddable widget.
Edit or close a prompt
You can edit a prompt’s text any time, or close it to stop accepting new replies while keeping the ones you already have.
